CLOSE-UP MAGIC

Close-up magic (also known as table magic) is magic performed in an intimate setting and generally consists of effects using playing cards, coins, cups and balls or other small objects. Basically, it’s magic that can be performed and watched by an audience who are close to the performer, and usually performed while sitting at a table. In a street situation, Close Up Magic is referred to as Street Magic and is currently a very popular form of close up magic. Also popular in street magic performance is Cardistry which is the performance art of card flourishing. Some of the most popular Close Up performers are David Blaine, Shin Lim, Michael Ammar, Gregory Wilson and Dynamo to name a few.
